Mashfrog & LUMSA: a valuable partnership striving for excellence

Mashfrog Group has partnered with the LUMSA University of Rome for the launch of their degree in Information Technology for Data Management, an innovative degree in IT and data science. At LUMSA (Free University of Maria Santissima Assunta), a key component that makes their degree in Information Technology for Data Management stand out is the opportunity for students to pursue their studies on internships hosted by partner companies. This allows students to acquire the whole package of more specific professional, managerial and personal skills that can only be obtained "in the field", while simultaneously assisting companies in their search for professionals who will be an asset to them. This can often lead to interns being hired following their training placement.

The three-year programme, the only one of its kind in Italy, will train professionals with high-level technical skills and equip them to work in companies and start-ups, public administrations, and national, European and international institutions. Classified as a professional degree course, the curriculum is spread over two years of university training and a full-year internship in the third. It will admit 55 students each year, selected through a motivational interview and a specific admissions test.

The three-year academic course, developed in collaboration with the National Council of Industrial Experts (CNPI), has the objective of training the following professional profiles:
•    Data processing and data analysis expert (data analyst/data scientist)
•    Software analyst
•    System analyst
•    Computer networking specialist
•    IT consultant, with specific skills in the IoT (Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 fields
•    Cybersecurity expert
•    Consultant for the design, implementation and reporting of data analyses, with specific skills in Big Data analysis
•    IT systems manager
•    Industrial policy analyst
