SAP Project System for Toscana Aeroporti's Project Management
Mashfrog supports Toscana Aeroporti in adopting the SAP Project System module to improve cost monitoring and the management of infrastructure development projects.
Toscana Aeroporti has implemented the SAP Project System module to optimize the monitoring and management of financed investments dedicated to the modernization of the Pisa and Florence airports. This significant innovation will support the infrastructure development plans of Tuscany's two main airports, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and cost control in modernization projects.
This opportunity emerged from our previous study and assessment activities aimed at providing a strategic evolution roadmap in the project management area. At the end of this study, we identified an innovation path divided into three main phases:
- Quick Win: A phase aimed at providing basic tools for economic monitoring of project investments, allowing for the trial of the new system.
- Build: A phase focused on the industrialization of project management processes, automating integrations with non-SAP systems and integrating with SAP HR's timesheet function.
- Growth: A phase oriented towards potential technical and innovative developments, such as performance management, cash flow management, and advanced reporting with SAP Analytics Cloud.
With the main objective of improving the cost management and monitoring of infrastructure projects while ensuring budget adherence, Toscana Aeroporti decided to proceed with Mashfrog in implementing this initial Quick Win phase. Together with its subsidiaries, it aims to:
- Constantly monitor infrastructure investments, ensuring financial transparency and budget compliance;
- Centrally manage all economic planning and monitoring activities related to modernization project planning and execution;
- Facilitate coordination between various corporate departments (Finance, Management Control, Purchasing, Technical Management), improving collaboration and reducing operational inefficiencies.
Anna Maria Suglia, Project Manager at Mashfrog for Toscana Aeroporti, stated: "The adoption of the SAP Project System represents a milestone in the modernization commitment of Pisa and Florence airports. This system will enable Toscana Aeroporti to ensure that investments are managed transparently and efficiently, guaranteeing that objectives are achieved with strict control over financial resources. We are excited about this opportunity, which will significantly improve our capacity to implement strategic projects for companies".
With the introduction of the SAP Project System module, Toscana Aeroporti consolidates its commitment to innovation and airport infrastructure development.
